Eurotrip Day 19 – Paris, France: Macaroons, The Eiffel Tower and More

Posted on June 1, 2016 by Jason

And now it’s time for part two from our day in Paris France where we each a bunch more goodies and explore popular tourist attractions. Let’s go!

After our stroll through the park we took to walking through more of the Paris streets.

Beautiful until… we see yet another MOUNTAIN of trash! Whats up Paris? Why you no garbage collect?! This certainly take you out of the great scenery a bit…

Paris-France-Day-19-27

Let’s shake that off and get more food. Who could resist a stop at Paris staple Pierre Hermé?

Paris-France-Day-19-28

We enjoyed some delicious macaroons next to a really ornate fountain.

Judging by the stickers on the bench this was a popular stop for other tourists to dine on Pierre Hermé macaroons as well.

They were definitely top notch!

Chocolate, Lemon, Jasmine & Salted-Butter Caramel.

You want to see more macaroons? Of course you do! Thankfully, Ladurée – the next stop on the macaroon run – did not disappoint either!

Paris-France-Day-19-33

You may experience macaroon overload right now. The Lemon & blackcurrant violet were among some of our favorite flavors.

The presentations are really well done, something you don’t see too often back home.

Don’t miss out getting these if you’re in the area. They aren’t too expensive and totally worth it.

Paris-France-Day-19-37

After coffee it was off to the Eiffel Tower. Who would we be if we did not see a wonder of the world? We walked for a bit, turned the corner and BAM!

Paris-France-Day-19-38

It truly was a site to see, and much bigger than I even thought.

Next we walked along the Seine river taking in the scenic views.

Paris-France-Day-19-41

We walked by Pont de Bir-Hakeim aka the bridge from Inception. We felt our dream start to break apart when we saw this one.

Paris-France-Day-19-42

As evening rolled around we were able to get another glance at the Eiffel Tower, even cooler all lit up!

Token tourist photo!

Paris-France-Day-19-45

We eventually wound up at Le Petit Cler for dinner.

Paris-France-Day-19-46

We started our with a duck foie gras bread board, super delicious and decadent!

Paris-France-Day-19-47

The main course were these ridiculous Croque Madames. Super filling and relatively cheap. Given it was a bit chilly that night this really warmed us up!

Paris-France-Day-19-48

Lindsay capped off the meal with a Hot chocolate.

Paris-France-Day-19-49

After dinner, we had to catch a show at the Crazy Horse Paris cabaret! The cabaret was an awesome end to the night. These ladies are very talented! Watch out though, you will be paying hundreds of dollars for bottle service! I think a Coke was over $20. Yeah just a coke.

After the show it was back to our place to catch some Zzzs. We are almost finished with our Eurotrip recaps so be sure to stick with us for our remaining days coming soon.

Oh, I love Paris so much (who doesn’t!?) and this makes me want to hop on a plane and head right back over for some delicious macaroons! It’s one of those places I feel homesick for, despite never living in the city. I’ll have to come back and read through the rest of your Euro trip posts when I get a chance. 🙂

I don’t think I ate nearly enough food while I was in Paris. I must go back soon!
