The final day of our three week Eurotrip was here at last. Okay, so technically Day 20 was our second to last day of the trip but the baguette and plane ride on day 21 wasn’t the most exciting info to document. So here is a recap of the first part of our last day in Paris, France.
Of course we had to start our day off right with a delicious croissants and awesome baguettes from Maison Kayser. I HIGHLY recommend checking MK out if you’re in Paris.
We started to walk through some of side streets near our place and we couldn’t help house-gazing.
The homes were very cool and super colorful!
Of course Lindsay could not resist taking pictures. She felt bad when she saw a “No Photos” sign in one of the windows. Oops.
We made our way through the city streets and headed to the market.
The Marché des Enfants Rouges to be exact. This market was tiny in comparison to some of the other markets we saw during our Eurotrip but Marché des Enfants Rouges was packed with great stuff!
After a quick coffee break (a must as you can imagine) we grabbed some lunch.
Some mouth-watering calamari and shrimp, add in a little lemon and boom! Delicious!
In a small shop nearby, we browsed rows of old photos & prints for sale. I liked the old postcards and tourism ads. It is very interesting looking back at how the city used to be.
After leaving the market we made our way towards Montmartre and captured a few sights along the way including the Sainte-Trinité aka The Trinity Church.
The Wall of Love has “I Love You” written in over 250 languages. This was a neat little spot. You’re supposed to get your photo taken by your native language. We attempted to get a gentleman to take our photo, but for some reason he missed the English “I Love You.” So here’s the whole wall:
We didn’t get our “I Love You” in the photo – so what? We saved our declarations of love for the sweet treats at Le Grenier à Pain anyway.
These tarts were awesome! I’m sure more care and time went into creating them than most things I do in life. Yet we ate them in like 2 minutes…
Seriously, the Parisians really know what they’re doing with the whole pastry thing.
Maybe we should have held off munching on pastries until after walking up a billion stairs but our next stop was the Basilica Sacre-Coeur, a Roman Catholic church and minor basilica, dedicated to the Sacred Heart of Jesus.
The basilica was an impressive sight, but the adjacent views over Montmartre are truly incredible.
Montmartre was so scenic and interesting. The rest of the day was spent around other famous Parisian landmarks so don’t forget to check back and read about the end of our Eurotrip!

Absolutely love your pictures from Sacre Coeur! I haven’t visited Paris yet (just Disneyland) but I’d totally love to 😉
It is definitely worth the trip, the walk up was quite the journey but it is very worth it! Awesome views all around and great architecture.
Great post! Loved reading about Paris in so much detail. I’m about to go to Paris for the third time this summer, and I am always shocked at the number of things I haven’t done. I’ll have to bookmark this page and revisit it while I’m there. I especially want to check out the Love wall and MK. Yum! 🙂 You can’t post the next part soon enough! 😉

Oh my gosh, I am foaming at the mouth for all those delicious food pictures!!! Can’t wait to go again so the husband and I can go inside Sacré-Cœur. Paris, one trip will never be enough.
Oh man tell me about it! I almost had to stop and jump on a plane back over there when I was writing this! I wish we were able to make it inside as well, the outside was awesome but I am sure the inside is equally breathtaking!

Thank you! Oh man that is a hard question! I almost don’t feel equipped to answer it since we still have to much to see, but you gotta check out Basilica Sacre-Coeur, La Crêperie, and if you can hop on a bike and just see the streets!
