Ponce City Market in Atlanta, GA

Posted on July 19, 2016 by Lindsay

Jason & I visited Atlanta with our best buds earlier in the year and we were able to experience so much in a short period of time. I have a lot of recap posts from the trip and decided to kick things off with a look back at our time in the amazing Ponce City Market .

Ponce City Market

Markets are my jam. Even though I’ve been pretty terrible at attempting to get out to local Baltimore markets, I always make it a point to try and check out the venues in other cities (weird how that works.) Atlanta has a few great market scenes, including Ponce City located in the historic Fourth Ward. The market is MASSIVE and accommodates shops by local makers, craftsman, retailers and of course, restaurants.

Here’s a few interior snapshots that showcase how open the warehouse space is. And don’t worry, we’ll be back to the food hall.

Moving on, let’s take a look at a few of my favorite spots we visited inside the market.

Dancing Goats Coffee Bar

Dancing Goats was commonly mentioned in articles I read focusing on the best coffee in Atlanta and I’ll have to agree! This was my favorite cup of Joe I had in town and I also enjoyed the cream cheese cinnamon bun.

Bellina Alimentari

After walking around the market we decided to grab some food. Jason and I opted for the Italian eatery Bellina Alimentari.

The store also sold deli meats and a large variety of artisan package goods.

I didn’t expect much but honestly, our food was delicious. We shared the meatball special and Ragu dishes.

Spiller Park Coffee

Another solid coffee option right in the middle of the market is Spiller Park Coffee. The staff seemed a little more pretentious than those at Dancing Goats but that’s not always a bad thing.

I enjoyed my second cup with a treat from my next favorite store…

Collier Candy Company

This was a cute, retro candy shop that had a lot of different goodies. And I’m such a sucker for beautiful packaging.

I was just imagining working nearby and being able to eat lunch there everyday! The place was huge and still growing.

Two coffee shops in one stop? Golden. 🙂 Despite several trips to/through Atlanta in the past few years, we have yet to get to Ponce City Market. Next time for sure!
