It’s time to reevaluate our September goals and set new plans for this month. Take a look at how we did and what we are looking forward to in the weeks to come.
SCHEDULE SOCIAL MEDIA UPDATES:
While I did put together some schedules, I still failed to follow through with this. It’s unfortunate but other tasks got the better part of me last month.
FINISH OLD RECAP POSTS:
I kind of sort of did this? Basically I organized all the recap posts by photos but I didn’t write every bit of content out. I’m counting this as a “win” though because it’s really the bulk of the task. The time-consuming part is behind me.
FINALIZE MY CAPSULE WARDROBE:
I am getting pretty excited to finally post about this! My biggest issue last month was finding the time to photograph everything in a way that I wanted but I’ll get on it soon.
FIGURE OUT A GOOD INSTAGRAM STRATEGY
I’ve been working hard on growing our Instagram over the past few months and I’m on tract with all of my goals. A while back I made a separate, personal Instagram account but I’m now debating on moving back to one. I want to get a few more opinions on it and think more about the Also Coffee Insta brand. Man, being a blogger sounds lame sometimes.
ORGANIZE MY PHOTO CHALLENGE
I just started a new 30 Day Photography Challenge and I’m learning so much but I’m behind on posting because I’m not sure how to structure it! I initially thought that posting once a week would be fine but I may have to rework that. I want this to be my main focus in October.
Like always, I have a bunch of posts brewing but no potions made. I want to write a least one of my “big” posts this month that I’ve been putting on the back burner for too long.
MOUNTAIN BIKE EVERY DAY
Unfortunately illness and weather took this one away from me. 🙁
WRITE ONE POST A WEEK
Does it count that I thought about this real hard and had every intention to do this?
STAY ACTIVE ON SOCIAL MEDIA
Maybe not as much as I liked but I did post a lot on our recent trip to Louisville (which was technically at the end of August but I’ll count it.) I still could have done better for sure.
PLAN/BOOK COPENHAGEN TRIP
I have been wanting to go back to Copenhagen since visiting last year with Lindsay to try out a more extended stay in the city. It made my short list of potential places to live and vetting that out in a less “vacation” like setting is pretty important to me. Also, I just love the place so I can’t wait to go back! I’ll be staying for a month so I need to lock down logistical stuff before prices rise.
PERFECT THE ENDO TURN ON MY MOUNTAIN BIKE
I have been really trying to get better at mountain biking lately since it has become my latest passion. A big part of getting better is making sure to increase your skill set, which in turn just makes you more comfortable on the bike. The next thing I would like to learn is the endo turn, a pretty rarely used skill except for switchbacks on the trail (but it looks cool!)
FINISH MY WEB APP SIDE PROJECT
Lindsay and I recently had a conversation about “passive income” with one of our friends. This got me thinking about a little spread sheet calculator that I had put together for calculating a bunch or housing costs and stuff. This seemed like it would be a pretty easy and fun side project to code up and release for people to use.
JOINT GOALS: OCTOBER 2016
WRITE A TIPS + TUTORIAL POST
We did a few posts about camping with your dog which can be found here! (& more to come!)
WRAP UP TO-DO LIST LOOSE ENDS
Early in the month, we sorted through the loose ends. Besides a lot of personal crap we still have to work out, all of the blog stuff is in check.
HAVE A PERSONAL PHOTO SHOOT
We totally did this too! Go us! You can see some of the pics on our About page.
SCHEDULE POST CONTENT FOR THE END OF THE YEAR
I’ve already made some serious headway here. I hope that I’ll have everything planned out and drafted before this month is out.
ORGANIZE TRIPS FOR 2016/2017
I think this is somewhat of a lofty goal but also kind of necessary. We have a big ass outline of everything but we need to book a few more tickets and get our butts into gear.
FIND A PLACE TO LIVE
We are in the weirdest housing limbo stage ever (and totally won’t bore you with the details) but we need to find a place to hang our hats before the month is out.
Do you write monthly goals?
What do you hope to accomplish next month?
