Ready for a brief recap of the past week in photos? Let’s go!
THE WEEK OF MARCH 13th, 2017
MONDAY
Jason and I begrudgingly went to the grocery store to stock up for the impending “winter storm.” I was super skeptical, as I always am about weather forecasts, but I’d rather be safe than sorry.
After dinner, I worked on editing photos and organized some scheduling for the rest of the year. Yeah, that’s how far out I plan. ๐
Notice the fat stack of binders to my right. That was my “work from home” projects for the next day.
TUESDAY
It did snow although it was nothing major. However, the temperatures remained low and ice was the biggest issue of the day. It would have been fun to play in the snow for a bit but working from home in my PJs was a nice silver lining.
WEDNESDAY
I was very excited for Wednesday because Jess and I finally attended our first Society of Excellent Women event! This month’s meetup highlighted local female-run Zines and was held at Open Works Baltimore. The space is a badass creative hub that offers up a huge variety of tools and knowledge to anyone looking to create. If you live in Baltimore, you seriously should check out Open Works; it’s so incredible and inspiring.
After the event, Jess and I met up with Rob and Jason for dinner at Brewer’s Art. I am constantly in awe of how beautiful that building is.
I am similarly enamored with most of the buildings in Mount Vernon.
THURSDAY
Jason marinated some steak and cooked up some super delicious fajitas. I’m very thankful that Jason is a great cook because otherwise I’d have to overcome a huge learning curve in the kitchen.
I provided the Bismark donuts so I feel like that should count for something.
FRIDAY
Both Jason and I spent Friday afternoon working on individual organizational projects before hanging out with my parents’ dogs. My dad recently found me a great mid century piece that I’m temporarily using as a vanity. It belongs somewhere more attractive but I’m happy to see it nonetheless.
Later on, Jason and I went out to dinner and had a great time kicking back and chatting. It was one of those long conversations full of dreams and big ideas and plans to make them happen. ๐
SATURDAY
The morning was spent cleaning and going through the mass amount of stuff we have accumulated over the years. We are starting to get an idea of everything we should get rid of and hopefully we’ll unload most of it in the coming weeks.
We met up with Jess and Rob at Fiesta Mexicana for a late lunch/early dinner. If you haven’t been, it’s a serious treat. Probably my favorite Mexican food in the area.
My absolute favorite is the Pambazo sandwich. Chorizo and potato, get in my belly.
In search of dessert, we decided on Dangerously Delicious Pies because it’s always a good time for pie. We somehow forgot that it was St. Patrick’s Day weekend (shame on me since I’m like 90% Irish) so we spent the whole evening watching drunk people and playing board games.
There are certainly worse ways to spend your Saturday.
SUNDAY
A typical busy close to the week. I spent all morning cleaning and organizing before we hit up the grocery store. Then it was on to meal planning, then more cleaning and finally a podcast recording. I spent the majority of the evening venting to the group and eating this damn Chocolate Chip Brioche.
My apologies for having such a short recap. I’ll make sure to carve out more time to write in the week ahead.
What was the highlight of your week?
