Weekly Photo Recap: Relay

Posted on March 27, 2017 by Lindsay

It’s been quite the week which made for an interesting photo recap. Let me explain…

THE WEEK OF MARCH 20th, 2017

MONDAY

The beginning of the week started out familiar enough. I mean, how much enthusiasm am I expected to muster for a Monday?

I did finally fix the framing on my favorite poster ever. I still have nowhere to “hang” it but this will do.

I spent the evening getting some writing done and editing FTS’ latest podcast episode.

TUESDAY

It was a nice day out on Tuesday and Jason convinced me to join him + Ellie for a neighborhood bike ride. It’s pretty hard to resist these cuties.

WEDNESDAY

We finally remembered to put our crock pot dinner on in the morning. It’s one of my favorites – pepperoncini beef. It’s super simple and sooo flavorful. Just put the beef on top of a toasted bun and add some mozzeralla cheese. Mmmmmmmm.

Ellie’s goon squad also came over to hang.

THURSDAY

Thursday I was busy hopping from one thing to another. In the evening, Jess and I recorded our first episode of the second season of our podcast Sorry in Advance. Please excuse the typos.

FRIDAY

Right after work it was time for more dog adventures. The 3 pupsketeers get along so well. Now they will occasionally humor me for photos. Occasionally.

For dinner, Jason and I tried to hit up Ekiben’s 1 year anniversary celebration at Union Brewing but the food had sold out by the time we got there. Instead we headed over to Wicked Sisters where the lamb and Brussels sprouts were on point.

SATURDAY

I was up bright and early on Saturday for a very exciting reason. It was my turn to take over The Baltimore Baton Instagram! The Baltimore Baton is “A photo relay between Baltimore locals shedding light on life in Charm City!” A short while back, I asked the Baton’s founder Megan from Soup of the Day if I could be a part of the fun and she was nice enough to give me the opportunity. I decided to treat my time with the Baton like I was a hometown tourist, visiting some of my favorite city spots as well as checking out new places I hadn’t been to yet. As you might imagine, I have a LOT of photos to share so I decided to only show off a few in this post and put the rest in an entirely separate recap devoted to the whole weekend. Keep your eyes peeled for that post later this week.

You can check out a few snapshots below and my Insta pics over on the Baltimore Baton Instagram.

Jess and Rob joined us for our first stop to the Hampden area. I don’t visit the area that often so I was eager to check a few things off my Baltimore bucket list – most notably Center Cut Doughnuts.

There are a lot of fun shops around the area, one of my favorites was the eclectic antique shop The Silver Fox.

We took Ellie to a few parks including the attractive Cylburn Arboretum.

Later on, we ate dinner at one of my favorite restaurants in the city – Annabel Lee Tavern.

We met up with a few more friends and I tried another donut out at Dooby’s.

We ended the night checking out our friend’s band play for the first time. Congrats to Longest Start on the amazing show!

SUNDAY

Ellie and I started off the day with a morning bike ride.

I had already decided that I wanted to spend most of Sunday showcasing the Hamilton neighborhood because I hadn’t seen anyone mention it on the Baton. Jason and I spent most of the day there hitting up our favorite spots. (More pics to come!)

By the end of this weekend I had racked up a solid amount of coffee and cool treats for Ellie.

I had my work cut out for me.

All in all, the weekend was a blast! It definitely felt like I was travelling which is a very, very good feeling. It certainly put the spark in me to plan out future all day Baltimore adventures.

What was the highlight of your week?
