Weekly Photo Recap: Seeking Satisfaction

Posted on May 8, 2017 by Lindsay

This was not my best week for photo-taking but the reap must go on. Pushing forward…

THE WEEK OF MAY 1st, 2017

MONDAY

I wanted to take some photos specifically for a new post I was working on but I couldn’t figure out exactly what I wanted to do. I ended up setting up a tripod and snapping some self timer pictures but I wasn’t too happy with the results. I took enough photos to fit into the post but I’m still not sure if I’ll keep them or do a re-shoot. If you’ve ever wondered why I barely have any photos of myself in these recaps it’s because clearly modeling is not my strong suit.

My face here pretty much sums up my thoughts on this shoot.

TUESDAY

Tuesday was all about the Guardians of the Galaxy Vol 2 press screening! I was very excited and thankfully, the movie didn’t dissapoint. If you feel so inclined, you can check out my review for it here.

WEDNESDAY

I’ve been attempting to get to bed a little earlier during the week so that I can have more time in the mornings (no huge progress made in that department just yet.) Instead of staying on the computer til its time to call it quits, I’ve been trying to read or organize my notes before bed. And maybe have a delightful snack in the process…

THURSDAY

It was a busy day and I think I literally only took one photo – a handful of dinner selections from the Canton First Thursday event. Food pictured from Snake Hill, Dooby’s & Alma Cocina Latina.

FRIDAY

Friday night, Jason and I were on a totally different spectrum food-wise. He wanted a sausage and I wanted sushi. We decided to grab a little sushi first and then we would try to get a sausage if we were still hungry. We tried a new place for sushi and unfortunately, the food was a total bummer. After dinner, I didn’t really want a sausage and instead grabbed a coffee and muffin at Metropolitan Coffeehouse and Wine Bar. The muffin was the most satisfying thing I ate all day.

I had Jason snap the pic above because I wanted to show off my new favorite t-shirt. Of course he just took 100 photos so you can now enjoy this gif of me unwrapping a muffin.

Once I was properly caffeinated we headed over to the German Biergarten Crossbar to meet with some friends. I’m not a beer drinker but I must admit that the space sure is impressive.

I think my sleepy-ass was definitely bringing down the cute points in the group.

See, I’m much more comfortable behind the camera.

SATURDAY

So we never did get any sausage the day before. Now Jason was determined. First we tried out a new place – Krakus Deli. The Polish deli was wonderful but didn’t have any cooked meats so we opted for some lunch meat and Jason tried a donut.

Still waiting on a sausage, we headed to the one place we knew would not disappoint – Snake Hill.

We spent the rest of the day hanging with the dog and getting some miscellaneous work done. I also read for a little while and indulged in my ultimate guilty pleasure snack.

Later, we went out to dinner with friends and ended up at the bar Rye for “Speakeasy Saturday”.

SUNDAY

I barely left the house Sunday but still managed to find a handful of annoyances. On the bright side. I spent a lot of time biking with my favorite buddy and was overall pretty damn productive.

On a side note – we are already a week into May! What the heck?! Anyone else freaking out or is it just me??

What was the highlight of your week?

I love this little recap! I like your portraits a lot but I feel you on not feeling comfortable in front of a camera. I always feel awkward! My husband and I saw guardians on Saturday and loved it – I’ll have to check out your review!

And you are always in front of the camera! I suppose it’s just one of those things where some people are more natural and comfortable than others.

While I’m a big Tony Stark fan, Guardians might just be my favorite in the MCU. Vol 2 so beautiful and fun and that soundtrack – so much yes.

Thanks for stopping by & checking out the review!
