Okay, so we aren’t exactly sure what happened but somehow we missed posting our goals for this month! I guess “posting goals on time” will be included for the future.
GET BACK TO DAILY TO-DOS:
Action: Run through proper daily to-do list for at least 5 consecutive days.
Yep! I think I want to modify the daily list now but I’m glad I got back into checking it every day. Success!
REACH OUT + COLLABORATE
Action: Email 3 Baltimore area businesses/brands/bloggers
Did this too! I have a few things in the works that I’m very excited to share on the blog soon!
MAINTAIN SOME BALANCE:
Action: “Take off” for at lease one hour every Monday evening to completely relax.
You guys… I did all my goals last month! I may have traded Monday for a Tuesday once but I still managed to get in the alone time I was looking for. Go me!
CURATE MY RSS FEED
Action:Follow and comment on 5 new blogs and 5 old blogs.
I do this every so often but I want to focus on connecting with more of my favorite bloggers while trying to seek out some new reading material.
FOCUS ON PODCASTING
Action: Finish recording 2nd Season of Sorry in Advance and finish prep for FTS 300th episode.
There are only a few more episodes to record for Sorry in Advance so I want to get on completing that. There are also some big episodes coming up for the French Toast Sunday podcast and I can not slack on that!
PAY ATTENTION TO MY BODY
Action: Schedule time to exercise every week and cook at least 3 meals a week.
I always try to pick something related to this category every month and this July I want to make exercising a lot more of a priority.
Action: Find a rock outside and climb it!
It has been wayyyy too hot outside to hit up some out door climbing! Just kidding that is a weak excuse. Honestly, it has just been way to much going on with house buying, planning trips, and everything else to get some time to hit-up some outdoor rocks 🙁
Action: Book flights and lodging.
So, Copenhagen hasn’t been booked because that looks like it is getting a push back (again). But good news everyone! The has now turned into a trip to Oktoberfest in Munich. We are very excited for that!
Mountain bike some place new
Action: Try out a new mountain bike trail somewhere over an hour away
Not an hour away, but I was able to hit up a new part of the Patapsco State park near us (its 45 min drive so close!)
Action: Manual for 30 seconds on the Mountain bike.
I’ll admit. I am pretty awful at holding a manual so that is definitely a skill I want to improve. Over the next month I hope to get that up to a more reasonable level.
Get back into climbing regularly
Action: Send some V6’s
So coming back into climbing after effing my shoulder up has been going pretty well but it has stagnated a bit lately. With other things going on, I have not had the time to focus on it as much as I would like. Dedicating more time and getting into the V6 boulders should be pretty attainable!
Buy a house
Action: Finalize terms of a house contract (or figure our Plan B!)
This has been a long time coming but hopefully we can finally close on a house this month!
JOINT GOALS: JUNE 2017
Action: Meal Plan lunches for three weeks and cook dinner for at least 3 nights each week.
We did pretty good with meal planning. I think we could have cooked more dinners but otherwise, not too shabby!
Action: Book all flights and other transportation for our fall Europe trip.
ALMOST THOUGH. We just have one last in between flight to lock down.
Action: Focus on random little projects that need to be finished around the home by knocking out at least 3 random DIY/fixer upper projects.
Yes and no. I’m not going to put this in the win column though because we definitely didn’t make it much of a “focus.”
GET RID OF SOME JUNK!
Action: Remove at least one major piece of unnecessary furniture/gear.
I promise this is something we actually WANT to do. Finding the time and not pushing it off is another story.
FINISH TRIP PLANNING
Action: Book last miscellaneous in between transportation for Europe and lodging.
I don’t think we have much of an option on putting this off but it shouldn’t be a problem considering we have our itinerary down.
