Weekly Photo Recap: Homebody

Another quick recap featuring some of the most boring life updates yet! Continue reading to be riveted.

THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 9th, 2017

MONDAY

After purchasing flooring for the laundry room, I spend the evening cleaning out the room and making an inventory of projects. The first gif shows off the major systems that are now good to go:

While this second gif represented a bunch of other stuff we still need to do to finish the room out:

I was hoping to possibly put the flooring in but I quickly realized that we needed to properly tackle the door situation first. That’s why you stick to the plan and order of operations. Plenty more to do!

TUESDAY

I finally bite the bullet and ordered another pair of Allbirds! I don’t know why I waited so long because they are seriously the best shoes I’ve ever worn.

WEDNESDAY

Jason and I grabbed dinner in the neighborhood and spotted some silly graffiti on the way home.

So exciting, I know.

THURSDAY

I’m not exaggerating when I say that we didn’t get out much this week. On Thursday, we took a dinner break away from renovations to finally visit Blacksauce Kitchen. Blacksauce brings its food to various pop-ups and markets but they also serve a brand new menu every Thursday out of their shop. We tried their ribs and now we are completely hooked.

FRIDAY

Did someone say more renovation work? Oh right, that was me. I started taking some of the lath down after Jason’s mom & Aunt removed all of the ceiling plaster on the first floor while we were on vacation. The good news is that the joists underneath look like they are in good shape. Once the rest of the lath comes down we just have to finish running the electrical and close everything up.

Not the most photogenic week of the year. I mean, not all recaps can be filled with pancake stacks and landscape shots.

SATURDAY

There are a lot of balls in the air for the renovation including making about 100 design decisions every day. Saturday we took a look at all of the flooring options and narrowed down our favorites.

SUNDAY

Finally, after a weekend full of plaster dust, frustrating furniture moves and too many door and floor options to count, we got a chance to relax with our friends at BeOne Korean BBQ. I’m always so thankful to be able to escape the craziness with some of the best people on the planet.

What was the highlight of your week?
