Weekly Photo Recap: Updates

Hair updates, phone updates, bathroom updates, etc.

THE WEEK OF JULY 16th, 2018

I finally set up my phone and had a lot of fun snapping pics of my new haircut with the portrait mode B-)

The whole week was a bit of a blur. I tried out the “Brown Sugar Cold Brew” at Dunkin Donuts and didn’t hate it.

I also scored this beautiful silk scarf on a thrift run. I’m looking forward to upgrading my bandannas to fancy scarves.

More photos of my face?! New Glasses to show off. I can’t decided if they look too small or not.

Hung out with my favorite sun bug & again, I think I love the simple beauty of this portrait mode.

Jason and I put on the bathroom’s first coat of paint and then met up with friends at Artscape! We didn’t get there until later in the evening and unfortunately it rained the rest of the weekend but luckily we were able to spend a few hours at the festival.

Good lookin’ group.

We wound up at Club Charles for drinks and mood lighting.

Then found ourselves at WC Harlan for more drinks and mood lighting.

Obligatory shot of donuts I ate.

I spent the rest of the day painting the bathroom while Jason worked on some of the issues with our stair treads. It’s hard to tell the differences between paint layers so I snapped progress pictures the next day…

We finally had all of the painting finished (it always takes longer than you think!) Jason started prepping the subfloor by caulking all of the screw holes and I finally popped open the paint for the brick (eek!)

I was second guessing the decision to paint the brick every minute up until I actually went through with it. It had looked so nice with the primer that I though that maybe white would look better. I am SO GLAD I went through with painting it because I LOVE it. I can’t wait to see it with the new light fixture and vanity.

Jason also finished cutting and laying the wire mesh on the floor.

Then we poured the self leveling concrete!

After the concrete finished curing we did a dry run of our tile layout so that we could get everything ready to tile next weekend!!!!!!!!

Almost there!

What was the highlight of your week?
