2019 sure seems to be moving right along…
THE WEEK OF FEBRUARY 18th, 2019
MONDAY
Finally – A decent photo of the finished floor! Jason and I are both enjoying having an actual floor to walk and I don’t think we’ll miss the weird dusty underlayment any time soon. The house has come a long way from where it once was.
We are creeping towards the day when we will be able to snuggle on the couch and watch a movie. I can’t think of anything I’d rather do to celebrate finishing this process.
TUESDAY
The best kind of treat appeared in our kitchen courtesy of Jason’s aunt. ๐
I thrifted this lovely lithograph by American artist Frederick Judd Waugh.
I’m always intrigued when I spot a nice framing label.
WEDNESDAY
We had a big snow storm that decided to hit full force right after I made it into work. Ellie wasn’t complaining when we left early.
Working from home meant I could take full advantage of those stroopwafels.
Later on, I finished cleaning out the basement (which was super duper fun, thanks for asking) and I unearthed some of our barware! I think I’m totally smitten with all of it but I also know that I need to pare it down somehow.
Jason started working on the island cabinets and I just fell asleep in the middle of the room apparently.
THURSDAY
Some crappy office selfies for ya:
Also, I made Ellie wear my hat for this photo and I don’t regret it, even if she lost a little respect for me in the process.
FRIDAY
Hello Friday. We were very busy and spent the evening at Home Depot and then ate fried chicken at Silver Queen to feel better. Okay, Goodbye.
SATURDAY
I realized that I hadn’t been doing too great with my Wishful Thinking for 2019 goals so I made it a point to get up early and try out a new coffee shop. The lucky pick – Park Cafe & Coffee Bar.
The shop was very cute (nice hex tile ๐ )and the staff was super friendly. When I have more free time, I’d love to walk over with the dog and spend some time exploring Bolton Hill.
Coffee & treats were all superb. I can’t wait to go back.
After we wrapped up housework for the day, we met up at Shadowland Laser Adventures to celebrate our friend Jeanine’s 30th birthday!!
I was a little obsessed with laser tag when I was in middle school so it was a total blast getting back into it. Thanks to Jeanine for the invite and HAPPY BIRTHDAY!
SUNDAY
Like all Sundays, we were back at it with the house. It is exciting to see the to-do lists starting to dwindle!
We had a solid lunch from Sweet 27 and enjoyed the brief moments of Youtube videos and sunbeams.
What was the highlight of your week?

Woah your bar collection is magnificent!! Also that print & the label are so cool. Lastly, that picture of Jeanine is so dang cute!
– We need cocktails, STAT.
– I knew that you would appreciate that label!
– I took 20 pics of her and they were all equally adorable.
