A stressful, busy week made for a short recap. Here we go!

MONDAY

We ate dinner at Nick’s Fish House on Monday evening. The food was mediocre but the view’s not too shabby.

TUESDAY

I spy various neighborhood cats around our backyard green space from time to time but this one is hands down my creepy favorite.

WEDNESDAY

I couldn’t decide which one of these pictures made me laugh harder.

THURSDAY

I spent all week working on the damn stair runner. The overall project took me a lot longer than expected (doesn’t it always?) and I’m still technically not finished. I also have no appealing after photos just yet but here’s a glimpse at the rug pattern –

The week had been so stressful thanks to the house work. I came dangerously close to having a full on mental breakdown with the aforementioned rug installation. I certainly couldn’t get through the day if it wasn’t for these cuties –

FRIDAY

Also! I may have failed to mention that in addition to us trying to finish house work before our guest arrived, our washer also decided it would be a good time to die. Time for a Friday Night date night at the laundry mat.

SATURDAY

There was finally a break in the monotony on Saturday. Jason and I celebrated my niece’s birthday with a cupcake decorating class at Charm City Cakes! The class was unicorn themed and I think we pretty much nailed it!

We all had a really good time and I would love to take another class sometime in the future!

SUNDAY

We worked on cutting and installing baseboards all weekend and did a nice job getting most of them in. Jason also fit most of the island cabinets in the base and now it’s starting to look like a real kitchen island!
