I am slightly behind on my recaps thanks to some technical difficulties so let’s just get right to it.
THE WEEK OF JULY 1st, 2019
MONDAY
Another week of #OOTD posts – this time, I’m looking rather boring and formal for the office.
Bean prefers to hang outside the cubicles.
TUESDAY
Office cookout outfit featuring my favorite embroidered top.
Switched up our location for Taco Tuesday after work and tried Golden West on for size.
WEDNESDAY
Got all dressed up for Marc’s birthday!
Failed to take pics during the main festivities (snapped lots of Boomarangs) but played around with NightSight after hours at Rye.
THURSDAY
Happy 4th of July!
Ate a late breakfast at Papermoon Diner because what else are we going to do.
Post-breakfast relaxing with these two giving me the eyebrows.
We worked on various house projects throughout the day. I finally finished the coffee table! I went with Danish Oil mainly because I was feeling lazy but also because I just love the coloring.
I wrapped up the long day watching Kill Bill before bedtime.
FRIDAY
We had a super fun day of hiking planned with our friends and Bean was excited from the get go.
It was a beautiful morning and we stopped in Fredrick, MD to get some donuts before the hike.
Shout out to Glory Doughnuts for the tasty treats.
We hike a few miles around Catoctin Mountain and I enjoyed it quite a bit. I would really like to go back and visit a few more of the summits.
After the hikes, we hit up a slew of local breweries and I had a lot of fun trying out different beers, hoping to find that Cinderella glass slipper fit.
Brewery stops included:
Attaboy Beer
(Ellie was really digging the vibe here)
It was a super fun day but we were ready to kick back and snuggle in for the night.
SATURDAY
Jason and I planned to spend most of the day working on the house so we got right into it. I noticed my window cactus is doing pretty good right now! I can’t say the same for some of my other plants…
I went on a quick coffee run and stopped into the Greater Goods market where I snagged some art and combed through all of the lovely vintage vendors. I regret not buying these pants.
We wrapped up a bunch of projects including the final coat on the living room table, yay!
SUNDAY
After spending the day with the thankless job that is trim work, the laundry room was truly starting to come together. By the late evening, the room was pretty much all ready for its first coats of primer!
Our new window is pretty cute!
Now if we could just find time to clean out the inside of the house… 😮
The weekend closed out with a quick snack and Stranger Things viewing party at Marc’s house!
What was the highlight of your week?

Was it just Kill Bill part 1 or did you do the whole saga? I finally after years of searching managed to get hold of the whole bloody affair cut which splices both parts together and even gives you the house of Blue Leaves fight in full colour. Equally saves the effort of switching films 🙂
Just part 1! I don’t understand why Tarantino won’t just release The Whole Bloody Affair on Blu Ray or something! Seems crazy that hasn’t happened yet!
