THE WEEK OF APRIL 8th, 2019

MONDAY

I was able to take off a few days of work to spend time showing Tony around Baltimore City. I started off the day with a quick dog walk and coffee stop at Ground & Griddled.

For breakfast, Tony & I had some lighter fare at Ceremony Coffee Roasters.

Everything is shut down on Mondays, so we decided to walk around the very scenic Mount Vernon area to catch up and admire the new Spring blooms.

We randomly wandered into the Baltimore Architects Bookstore which was honestly a treat.

We walked around the area for a while before doing some shopping in Hampden and then hit up R. House for lunch. I tried out the newest food stall addition On Top Hot Dogs + Burgers and loved it!

After lunch, we took the dog for a nice, long walk around Patterson Park. The Pagoda was looking mighty fine on this Spring day.

A little bit of rest and then it was time for tacos. Here’s a terrible photo of the always delicious food from Clavel.

TUESDAY

The next day, Bean and I were back to work – attempting selfies.

I got these new suede lounge pants and I’m really into them but not sure how to wear them just yet (a similar issue I currently have with my growing hair.)

I’m not sure why I failed to snap any photos, but after work we all went out for pizza and bad bar movies.

WEDNESDAY

Tony was headed to DC for the day so I dropped him off at Penn Station and finally tried out Milk and Honey Market. (Highly recommend.)

Apparently, I am taking outfit photos at work now? This skirt is so fun ๐Ÿ™‚

THURSDAY

I had been feeling like I was getting a cold for a few days but on Thursday I woke up feeling absolutely terrible. I slept in a bit longer and watched some Queer Eye to help flush my eyes and nose.

I went into work for a few hours before heading back home to rest. Getting sick while playing host is not very fun ๐Ÿ™

FRIDAY

I had the day scheduled off and ended up staying home to sleep in for as long as possible.

It was Tony’s last day in town so we wanted to visit a few more spots before he departed. Donuts at Full Circle seemed like a good choice.

We kept it low key and headed to one of my favorite spots – the Rawlings Conservatory.

Once again, I took too many photos.

Before you knew it, it was time to say goodbye. We had a wonderful time hanging out and showing Tony around the city. Jason and I hope it won’t be too long before we are all reunited again!

Oh and after the airport, I basically went straight home and slept for as long as I could with this dreamy pooch.

SATURDAY

For Saturday Morning breakfast, Jason and I had a late start and then made our way to the brand new Sophomore Coffee!

In the evening, it was finally time…Jess’ Bachelorette Party! We went around to a bunch of fun places including the Owl Bar, Diskobar & The Regal Beagle.

Can we talk about how cute we all are??

A special shout out to Julie for planning all of the fun and Jess for being the most wonderful human being.

SUNDAY

Sunday was rough because I was so exhausted. It’s never a good time to get sick but trying to force your way through an illness isn’t all that effective. Still, I was happy to see this cocktail aftermath in the kitchen.

To cope, Jason and I indulged in a comfort food breakfast at The PaperMoon Diner.

I slept most of the day and watched Bean in the window seat. Why does she not always have a scarf on?

Committed to “do something”, I finally pulled together my collection of art prints and kitschy paintings.

I have no idea where to put them all but I love them so much.

Since this day, they have been leaning against a wall in our dining room. The decision to hang them all suddenly feels too overwhelming.

The highlight of my day was the Game of Thrones get-together at Marc’s house for delicious food, great company and endless commentary.

What was the highlight of your week?
