What a way to end a decade.
The end of 2019 came with a mix of emotions and reflections. Once again, it was a crazy year but I managed to complete another 365 days of photos for my Weekly Photo Recaps. I made a conscious effort to photograph more loved ones this year which made this recap feel more personal and full of love. I’m genuinely looking forward to continuing my recap tradition and hopefully pushing myself to try new things in 2020.
Compared to the 2018 Recap, this year had more camera phone photos, more friendly faces & the same amount of Bean. In 2020, I’d like to sneak in more black and white photography and just work on taking more photos in general. I’ve fallen into a routine so I want to get outside of my comfort zone and take on new challenges.
So here’s a full look at my 2019 – day by day, picture by picture:

Kind of misty looking over this recap. Okay, really misty. This was such a special, fun year.
Especially for you and Rob <3 I hope next year can be half as exciting 😀
Seeing these pictures brought back some great memories of my time in Baltimore, I can’t thank you enough for letting me stay at yours, the week I spent in Baltimore was one of the highlights of the year for me.
I need to get into the habit of taking more pictures, granted I’ve been doing it with food but I should get into it for other things. For example, one of the things I was proudest of doing last year, doing open water swimming in the Serpentine in Hyde Park, the only pictures I have of it are these ones https://www.awoladventure.com/events/londonmevents/swimserpentine2019/racenumber/522
Here’s hoping you have a great 2020.
I’m so glad you made it out, it was a blast! I hope I can inspire you to take more photos next year – it’s really rewarding looking back over fun stuff! & that marathon sounds so cool!!
Yeah, it was a blast, even the pain of British Airways losing my suitcase didn’t put a damper on how great my time in Baltimore was.
Yeah, it’ll probably be pictures of food I take mostly, as you can guess by what I’ve put on Instagram I’ve become a bit of a foodie and want to keep that going.
The swim event was a brilliant experience, bit challenging at first (I’m not exactly in the best shape and it was my first time doing open water swimming), but I had a great time. Granted it was cold (I definitely made the right call doing the swim in a wetsuit), but it was very relaxing as well. I’m hoping I’ll be able to do more open water swimming in the future, at the very least I’ll do the swim in the Serpentine again, I did the half mile swim last year, depending on what happens I may increase it to doing a full mile swim in the future.
