I have a lot on my mind at the moment so I might be short with this recap. Please proceed with the appropriate expectations.
THE WEEK OF MAY 15, 2017
MONDAY
Monday vibes and activities courtesy of dog snuggles, face masks and working by candlelight.
TUESDAY
Went for a hike after work at Patapsco Valley State Park and did a little bit of product photography for an upcoming post about Wild Kombucha.
Then a few days later I found out they are getting new package design, DOH!
WEDNESDAY
A few snapshots from the hot and sunny Hump Day:
THURSDAY
Picked up an iced coffee to beat the heat. Why is a Dunkin Donuts iced coffee so much bigger than their hot coffee?
I also tried out the new candle from 228 Grant Street and it smells fantastic.
FRIDAY
Jason and I met with Jess and Rob at Colette for dinner and drinks.
Their gruyere beignets are dangerous. I could have eaten 100 of them.
Later we went out to see Alien: Covenant and now I have a bunch of questions about Xenomorph evolution.
SATURDAY
I headed out a little earlier on Saturday to meet Jess and Rob in Hampden. A quick stop into Common Ground was up first.
Then it was onto the main event – The Baltimore Vintage Expo. I didn’t really need anything there but it was pretty cool to check out the different vendors in the area and find styles that I resonated with.
After the expo, we took a short walk to Artifact Coffee for various culinary excitement.
The night before, Jason had adorably asked if we could have a date night in. He was looking forward to making a carbonara recipe he recently came across so I made us a few pre-dinner cocktails.
Thanks Shrub District!
Jason FINALLY busted out the pasta maker!
The carbonara recipe was inspired by Masters of None – you can check it out here.
The whole night was perfect.
SUNDAY
I received some troubling news earlier in the day that left me in a languid state for most of the day. I decided to break away from the house later in the evening to meet with friends for the Twin Peaks premiere. My apologies for being cagey on the details – please enjoy this photo of donuts.
What was the highlight of your week?

The picture of my breakfast made me instantly want another serving right now. Nevermind that I just ate lunch. Also, those donuts were the perfect accompaniment to a couple hours of Lynch hijinks. Love those cocktail pictures from Colette!
Can’t wait to catch up on Peaks soon but damn it, I’m on donut overload lately!
