Delightful Spots for Sweet Treats in Louisville, KY

Posted on April 11, 2017 by Lindsay

I finally have all of my photos from Louisville edited and ready for recapping. To kick things off, I’m talking about my favorite thing – DESSERT! Check out these great sports to grab a sweet treat in Louisville, KY.

Nord’s Bakery
2118 S Preston St

Donuts. You knew it was coming. Yes, if you need to get your donut fix in Louisville, Nord’s is the place to go. Try to get there early for a fresh Maple Bacon donut and head next door to Sunergos Coffee for your early morning brew.

Gralehaus
1001 Baxter Ave

Gralehaus is much more than a place to grab something sweet. It’s a bed & breakfast, a bar, a coffee shop and the place to go for good grub in Louisville. I know I’ll gush more about this place on the blog. It’s a perfect spot for breakfast or brunch and should be on your Must-Eat list for the city.

Heine Brothers’
Multiple Locations

It was hot hot hot when we visited the city last Summer so finding a good frosty drink was the perfect reprieve from the heat. Heine Bros’ has one of the tastiest frozen mochas I’ve ever had.

Please & Thank You
Multiple Locations

Want to try out Louisville’s best chocolate chip cookies? You need to stop into the small batch bakery Please & Thank You for some of the tasty morsels. And while you’re there, you can grab a cup of coffee and check out the record shop in the back.

The Widow’s Walk Ice Creamery and Bicycle Rentals
415 E. Riverside Drive

So this place is technically in Indiana, right across the river. But it’s a super short bike ride and has one of the best views you’ll find of the Louisville skyline. Oh, and it has some great ice cream too. 🙂
