October’s Hometown Tourists Link Up – Best View

I’m teaming up with one of my favorite blogs – Almost Ginger -to host the Hometown Tourists link up party celebrating bloggers’ hometowns. Keep reading to find out more information about the link up and how you can participate!

WHAT is HOMETOWN TOURISTS?

The idea for Hometown Tourists came out of my own love of talking about my favorite parts of Baltimore and how I frequently look to local bloggers in various travel destinations to get the best look at a city I want to visit. I thought that creating a link party centered on hometown discoveries would get people to talk about and experience their own city like they would a travel destination. I pitched this idea to Rebecca of Almost Ginger (who does amazing work covering her hometown of Manchester on her blog) and luckily for me she was totally down to team up!

Our hope is to bring people together by not only finding out unique things about other cities but encouraging bloggers to take a closer look at their own. We will have a monthly theme for each link up party and you are encouraged to participate by dropping a link (old or new) in this post.

October’s theme is The Best VIEW in Town – show us your photos, tell us a story – the post is up to you.

Don’t have a blog but want to participate? No problem! We are creating a Hometown Tourists Instagram account to help share your best hometown snapshots. We are aiming to have that out next month but in the meantime, feel free to send recommendations via your favorite social media platforms by tagging it with #HometownTourists or email me your photos directly!

HOW TO JOIN IN

Feel free to add up to three links (old or new) in the comments section of this post or on Rebecca’s blog – Almost Ginger.

Your post can be anything related to your hometown and the monthly theme. Again, October’s theme is your THE BEST VIEW IN TOWN.

Please provide a text link in your post or include one of the banners that are available below so that we can encourage more people to join in!

And most importantly, for this blog party to work, make sure you comment on at least 2 other links and the co-hosts posts.
