Atlantic City is only a few hours away from Baltimore so Jason and I have been quite a few times. Your experience in AC really boils down to where you stay. If you want to gamble and enjoy the nightlife, stay at the Borgata, period – end of story. But if you want to stay somewhere cheap and close to the Boardwalk, you won’t find a hotel with more character then The Chelsea Hotel.
A profile of The Chelsea would be a great post for another time but right now I only have photos of the hotel’s next door neighbor breakfast spot Teplitzky’s.
Back in January 2014, A group of us spent a long weekend in AC for Jason’s Birthday and capped it off with breakfast at the retro diner spot.
Friends Jess, Rob & Will we’re all there to celebrate.
The breakfast spot is larger than it appears. If it’s busy, you might sit in the large back room located poolside and decorated in loud, leafy wallpaper but if you get there on a slow morning like we did you’ll sit in the front area next to the cute breakfast bar pictured above.
It is always time for coffee. Always.
They have all the usual breakfast options including some snazzy omelette options and sweet cream pancakes. I don’t recall the name of it but there is some sort of big breakfast combo that includes all the basics. It was a favorite choice among the table.
Overall, Teplitzky’s is a very solid breakfast choice to nurse a hangover in Atlantic City as long as you remember not to gamble away all your money the night before.

Looks delicious! I’ve never been to Atlantic City but I would love to visit one day.
It’s fun! It’s not as extravagant as Vegas but still a good time – nice for a weekend trip.
