Today I’m taking a look back at some of the best food I ate in Copenhagen. I’m always ready to reminisce about my favorite city in Europe.
Fresh baked bread at MEYERS BAGERI
Jægersborggade 9, 2200 København N, Denmark
This was a spur of the moment stop off while we were exploring the Nørrebro neighborhood, but oh man was it good! First we stopped into The Coffee Collective shop across the street (a little basement room of a building with just a young dude pumping out espresso) then we ran into the bakery just before it closed for the day. Combining the coffee with delicious fresh baked bread and we had a can’t-beat combo!
BRASA Brazilian meats at COPENHAGEN STREET FOOD
Hal 7 & 8 Papirøen, Trangravsvej 14, 7/8, 1436 København K, Denmark
If you have been following Also Coffee at all, then you have probably come to realize we are a bit obsessed with food trucks. When you are in Copenhagen, you need to hop a ferry across the canal and get some bites at this great collection of drink stands and food trucks known as Copenhagen Street Food. There were so many cool food combinations that I was not expecting to get here but we ended up with some delicious Brazilian grilled meats from the BRASA stall and I highly recommend it!
A Hot Dog at a “pølsevogn” aka HOT DOG CART
Various Locations
The look on Lindsay’s face says it all. DELICIOUS. GRILLED. SAUSAGES. What more could you want? Double fist at your own peril!
Anything & Everything at TORVEHALLERNE
Frederiksborggade 21, 1360 København K, Denmark
So, if there is one thing I had to pick to sell me on Copenhagen even more it was the incredible food market Torvehallerne. Places like this may be the norm for all you lucky Europeans but to me, this place was amazing. There was so many awesome fresh food options housed together right in the middle of the city. You could meet with a friend for lunch or grab something to make for dinner on your way home from work!? This place is too good to be true!
The Grand Danois at ANDERSEN BAKERY
v, Bernstorffsgade 5, 1577 København V, Denmark
And finally we get to the pièce de résistance, this magical sausage we snagged before heading into Tivoli. This has to be one of the best I have had! The combination flavor from all of the different ingredients was outstanding. It is sure to make you happy!
