Welcome back to our ongoing feature where we profile our favorite donut shops far and wide. Today, I’m featuring the delightful Gourdough’s in Austin, TX. Keep reading to find out more and then read other posts about donuts here.
Say hello to Gourdough’s in Austin, TX!
Gourdough’s tasty treats are made and served out of a vintage Airstream down in Austin. But don’t let the size of the trailer fool you – Gourdough’s city reach is wide (the shop also appears in two other locations around town) and their product – well I’ll let the pictures speak for me:
The only tag line offered up on the hot spot’s social media is “Big. Fat. Donuts.” and it’s clear to see why. Jason and I tried the Naughty & Nice (simple sugar & cinnamon but with some donut holes to boot) and the PB&J (grape jelly filling with peanut butter icing.) They were by far some of the most decadent and dense donuts we have had to date.
I’d say to split one donut between two people if you visit Gourdough’s, but then how are you going to experience all of the flavors?
