We have finally come to the last full day of our trip to Europe. 20 Days in over 4 countries. Here is a recap of our last hours in Paris, France.
We continued our day on a nice metro ride to the Arc. We were greeted by this delightfully spooky-fonted metro station.
The Arc de Triomphe was everything I had expected and more! This was some amazing architecture that really is only enjoyed fully by seeing it in person (I know sounds snobby but its true, there is just so much detail to enjoy!).
Next up was the famous Louvre Museum. Although we did not make it inside it was amazing even from just the outside. Not to mention this place is HUGE, like wayyyyy bigger than we expected. I even contributed this awesomely artistic shot to the internet :).
I also couldn’t resist this panorama of the entire courtyard. Awesome to see!
We walked along the Seine river around sunset on our way to our next destination.
Once again we are back getting some gelato at Amorino before dinner, we honestly just could not get enough! It was soooo good!
For dinner we went full tourist and tried out Roger La Grenouille.
First up – Escargot! These guys were really tasty, an awesome garlicy-ness with a great texture.
Now the main course, Frog legs! Man were these good, like chicken wings in a delicious sauce. The quintessential French dinner (at least according to us Americans :P)
After dinner we took a nice stroll and finally visited the Cathédrale Notre-Dame de Paris – another stunning example of French architecture!
As night fell, we left the Cathedral in the dust and headed back towards our Airbnb.
But of course we needed a night cap crepe at La Droguerie to end it all! I think I was enjoying the crepes even more than the gelato.
We’ll take two…each.
We woke up early the next day, grabbed a baguette and left Paris on Day 21 of our Europe trip. We had a great time everywhere we went on this trip and would definitely go back to all the places we visited. Looking back now that our trip has wrapped up, it has inspired us with so many more ideas for places to go and things to do.
Keep an eye out for more Europe posts in the future. Happy travels!

great photos! #monday escapes
Thank you!
Great ideas! I have been to Paris as well, back in 2013. I went to The Louvre, but didn’t get to go inside. The lines were wayyyy too long and then by the time we went back they were closing. I also went to the Lock Bridge, ( which is no longer there) and I ate at Chez Janou (which is supposed to be a restaurant you can see celebrities at) I had duck to eat there. And of course The Eiffel Tower. Then just a bunch of walking around. I had my first gelato there and crepe there as well! I stayed in a hostel, but I can’t remember the name of it.
Thanks! I totally agree, who has time to wait in line when there is so much to see! Sounds like you did Paris right!

Lindsay there is nothing about Paris I didn’t like… except leaving. But I returned again late last year and already planning my return, again. #MondayEscapes
