Today, I want to talk a bit about the detriment of comparing yourself to others and finding confidence in your work. I’ll be looking through the lens of my perspective as a blogger but this topic applies to pretty much everyone on the planet.
Just the other day I gave a brief introduction into capsule wardrobes and why the idea is so appealing to me. Over the last few months, I’ve been slowly attempting to declutter my life in an effort to lower daily stress and switching to a capsule wardrobe is a huge part of that process. If you’re already on board, then I’ll show you how to take some time and game plan before you jump into creating your perfect closet.
I guess this is a little embarrassing, but I’ve been working on putting out a capsule wardrobe post since last Summer! I suppose my closet will always feel like a work-in-progress but I’m finally organizing all of my thoughts on the process and hopefully offering up some useful tips for others looking to hop on the capsule wardrobe bandwagon.
We are already two days into the new year and I can hardly believe it. I know everyone always says it but it doesn’t make it any less true. Time will always be the most valuable asset in your life. I find it helpful to reflect on both the good and the bad to be able to push forward.
I have to say, I am pretty damn proud of myself for keeping up with my weekly photo recap posts. The recaps have served their initial purpose of getting me back into photography and I am so grateful! I didn’t realize how much I missed it until it was back in my life. I imagine the recaps will become harder to pull off the more I have to do over the next months but hopefully I will keep at it with the same amount of enthusiasm.
This week’s photo recap isn’t terribly picture heavy but that’s okay. I had a fun week and the time flew by! Here’s what I was up to at the start of June:
My apologies that last week’s photo recap is so late! I have to blame Memorial Day Weekend for the delay but I’m still here and I didn’t forget. Take a look at what I’ve been up to.
I must admit that I am really enjoying putting together these weekly photo recap posts. It challenges me to think outside the box with my photography, especially on days where nothing very photogenic is happening. Here’s what last week looked like.
