Welcome to my favorite time of year!
THE WEEK OF OCTOBER 7th, 2019
MONDAY
I tried to do some pattern mixing with my outfit.
Although not incredibly daring, I liked the outcome!
TUESDAY
I picked up a friend to join in on our Tuesday spooky movie night.
I’m getting used to having him around the house.
WEDNESDAY
Great weather and great sweater.
Spent the evening climbing with my favorite bouldering partner.
THURSDAY
Snapped one quick pic at Honey Pig while celebrating our friend Steve’s birthday!
FRIDAY
When I take Ellie into work with me, we frequently play near this tree which I am convinced is moments away from breaking.
There was a chill in the air and I busted out all my wool in preparation for our weekend camping trip with friends!
SATURDAY
After a semi-rough night trying to find a campsite – we woke up ready to go in Michaux State Forest.
After breakfast, we headed out to our first hike of the day to the top of Pole Steeple.
The views at the top of the trail were so nice this time of year!
This is an easy hike that has such a pretty payoff – definitely recommend it.
For the second half of the day, we headed over to Long Pine Run Reservoir for more scenic views.
We had worked up a sizeable appetite so we were more than happy to head back to our campsite for chili & ghost stories.
SUNDAY
Camper Bean is my favorite. Nothing beats waking up to this face after a long night of snuggling.
After our campfire breakfast, we decided to head back home and hit up a few stops along the way. First up was Hollabaugh Bros market – an all-Apple flavored superstore. Shout out to the apple cider donuts, obviously.
And for lunch, we popped over to Gettysburg for beer and bites at Appalachian Brewing Company.
Another successful weekend camping trip in the books!
What was the highlight of your week?
