So many photos, so little time! I finally have the next photo recap ready from my back log so let’s not waste any more time.

MONDAY

We woke up in Rothenburg ob der Tauber – another delightful German town filled with Fairy tale medieval architecture.

After breakfast, we started exploring the town walls and beautiful views.

Then we walked around the town snapping pictures and falling in love with each new building.

Did I mention yet that I’m obsessed with the doors in Germany? This is a small taste showcased here but I have a lot more to share later.

At some point during our walk we stopped off for a few treats.

Eventually we got back on the road and headed down towards Munich. After walking around the neighborhood looking for Oktoberfest gear, we wound up eating a late night snack and having a few drinks at Das Meisterstück.

TUESDAY

We woke up and headed out from our adorable Airbnb – ready to get a feel for Munich.

A quick breakfast pretzel will do.

Rathaus in Marienplatz is absolutely stunning – we ended up eating lunch at the restaurant there!

We shopped around after lunch and I stopped at Cafe Maelu to pick up a few fancy desserts.

Later on we visited Oktoberfest! Everyone enjoyed beers while I just ate a pretzel.

WEDNESDAY

We initially planned on getting to Oktoberfest early and spending a good chunk of the day there but the previous night went on a bit longer than we anticipated. A few of us went out to grab some breakfast at the nearby mall.

Jason and I explored the city a little more including grabbing coffee at Aroma Kaffeebar.

We grouped back together around lunch and enjoyed the lovely weather at Herzog.

Next, we decided to check out the Munich Residenz. It was decorated in ornate, lavish designs and full of various historic artifacts. The place is massive so I severely edited down the amount of photos I took here.

This wall next to the Grotto Courtyard was made entirely of rocks and shells.

Afterwards, we walked the city and strolled through Englischer Garten.

We ended the night with some Italian food at Eataly and a little walk to find street art.
