The past week was a hot and sticky but also a little sweet. Here’s what happened –
THE WEEK OF JUNE 25th, 2018
MONDAY
I tried to kick the week off by getting myself more organized. Maybe this thought only applies to myself but there’s nothing like a brand new notebook to give you a boost of motivation.
TUESDAY
A round of after-work thrifting rewarded me with one of my holy grail items – a vintage plaid Thermos picnic set!
I legitimately have no use for this but I’m kind of obsessed with all of the Mid Century plaid picnic/cooler/Thermos wares.
WEDNESDAY
Baltimore Summer temperatues are in full swing so I made it a point to hit up Target this week and grab a bunch of Stumptown cold brews. Kinda pricey but worth it.
THURSDAY
A busy day with work and later podcasting. Apparently, the only photos I snapped were these selfies with Bean.
FRIDAY
Story time! A few months back, while I was leaving the Baltimore Vintage Flea Market, I ran into my friend Allison as she was arriving. We chatted for a minute and I showed off my only purchase of the day – a nice pair of framed butterflies – and mentioned how I thought learning how to pin insects would be really interesting. Anyway, fast forward a few weeks and lo and behold – Allison finds a butterfly pinning class available at Bazaar Baltimore!
So on Friday, we spent a few hours with our lovely instructor Divya, as she gave us a step by step breakdown on how to properly pin our beautiful butterfly moth.
We had to let the specimen sit for a while after the class so you can take a look at the finished product next week!
SATURDAY
Jason and I split our day working on the house and then meeting my dad and the dogs at Gunpowder Falls State Park for a hike. The area of the park we were in was new to me and very pretty.
Before the sunset, a wonderful fog blanketed the tops of the stream.
SUNDAY
We wrapped up more house work on Sunday but before that, we indulged in breakfast from Sweet Side Cafe.
Jason is a little obsessed with their Homer donut.
I myself, love them all equally.
It was a light photo week, mainly because I was feeling a bit lazy (I blame the heat.) Hopefully, I remember to snap more photos in these coming weeks and make these recaps a bit beefier!
What was the highlight of your week?

That fog is looking lovely in that Gunpowder picture. Speaking of lovely, that pink frosted donut looks not only lovely but seriously drool-worthy. That thermos picnic set is so cool!
The fog was really cool! We went up to an area in Parkton, MD and it was such a cute spot. The donuts are definitely a new favorite 😀
